Lily and Myrtle: beautiful flowers, and five hours a week back.

An award-winning florist was losing its evenings to wedding quotes. The flowers were never the problem. The paperwork was.

The situation

The situation

Lily and Myrtle is a florist, flower school and coffee house in Surrey, and Muddy Stilettos Best Florist in Surrey 2026. Weddings are a big part of the business. Every wedding enquiry meant 10 to 12 emails back and forth before a price went out, then a quote added up by hand, usually after the shop had shut. That added up to 8 hours a week.

What we found

What we found

We started with a full business assessment. When we asked the owner which job she would hand over first, the answer was instant: the quotes. The time was going on chasing missing details, doing the maths by hand and writing every reply from scratch, and plenty of it went on couples who never booked.

What we built

What we built

Think of it as a new member of the team who already knows every price, writes like the owner and never forgets a follow-up.

✓

A short enquiry form on their website, built around the questions the owner actually needs answered.

✓

Every enquiry priced instantly from their own price list, so the maths is right every time.

✓

AI that drafts the reply in the owner’s own voice, ready to check.

✓

The owner reads it, changes what she wants and presses send. Nothing goes out without her, and she still chooses every flower.

What happened

What happened

Quoting dropped from 8 hours a week to 3. That is 260 hours a year handed back, six and a half working weeks.

Those hours are worth more than the time itself. A single workshop for ten students is worth around £500 to the business, so one extra workshop a month adds up to around £6,000 a year. One a week is over £25,000.

Where the hours go now.

Five hours a week back is time for the part of the business that earns: workshops, weddings and the shop.
